Yesterday, we held the soft opening for the Colonial Heights Library. The community room still remains closed however all other services are available. Thank you to everyone who helped get this vital community resource back up and running.

During my time as the Chair of the Library Authority I was proud to have moved this renovation forward. Like any major project many people had a hand in making this renovation possible. I look forward to seeing the renovations once they are completed.

Today we remember transgender and non-binary peoples who have suffered unspeakable violence, and we honor those who have lost their lives. Violence against anyone is not and will never be acceptable. The recent attacks in our community will not be tolerated.

The City is now accepting applications for $5k–$25k community grants along Stockton Blvd. Projects must align with Stockton Blvd Plan priorities.

Applications close Dec 5, and a pre-application consultation with NDAT is required.

Yesterday's joint City/County meeting brought together leaders from across the Sacramento Region to discuss homelessness and other important issues. This was indicative of the increasing collaboration throughout Sacramento County.

Today's joint City/County meeting was a success. I’m proud that my call to bring leaders from the Sacramento Region together was answered.

Together, we took an important public vote to create a multi-governmental body to work on homelessness.

After Tuesday’s vote to fund repairs at the Colonial Heights Library, I toured the site to see the progress and the damages firsthand. I’m looking forward to seeing this community hub reopen soon.

I met with the Sacramento Bee Keepers Association today. We discussed exciting opportunities for future collaborations that will support our district and promote safe, sustainable beekeeping.

This week I met with Public Works about adding new speed lumps across our neighborhoods—prioritizing high-traffic areas where speeding and cut-through traffic are major concerns. Next Tuesday, Council will vote on the first community-approved projects citywide.
