Finally caved and just bought a plein air palette box. As much as I like tinkering with things, I realized I was spending more time fiddling around with my homemade one than actually painting. I didn’t have to readjust a single thing on this one.

Been 3D printing with this old printer my brother gave me a while ago that I finally got around to setting up. It doesn’t make perfect prints, but I’m still impressed.
