A 22-year-old Palestinian died in Israeli prison -- where he'd been held for a year and a half without charges.

His last two months, he was bed-ridden.

When he died, he weighed 88 lbs.

He was the 78th Palestinian to die in Israeli jail since Oct. 7, 2023.

The statement also said Khdeirat had dropped his weight to approximately 40 kilograms (88 pounds).

According to the committee, a lawyer who visited him in August testified that Khdeirat had been bedridden for ove two months.

The PA's statement tallies 78 administrative detainees and prisoners who died in Israeli prison since the start of the war on October 7, 2023.

Get yourself someone who loves you like Mr. Zabar loved whitefish.

The store roasted its own coffee, and Mr. Zabar’s office doubled as a tasting room. He visited fish wholesalers who allowed him to sample the latest catch. One supplier told New York magazine in 1992 that once he saw Mr. Zabar get so angry about a whitefish that didn’t taste right when it was delivered to the store that he threw it on the floor and stepped on it

That immigration agent who threw a woman to the ground, prompting DHS to declare his conduct "unacceptable"?

He's back at the courthouse.

And DHS still won't tell us his name.

I recently reported on an ICE officer who was publicly reprimanded and “relieved of his duties” after shoving a woman to the ground in an NYC immigration court. Well, he’s back.

DHS did not respond to a request for comment.

I covered cops for years.

Cops
-are identifiable; hence badge numbers
-have body-cams so civilians can perhaps see the facts
-have conduct subject to civilian oversight

Immigration agents
-identities are secret
-aren't using body-cams
-face no oversight office. Trump killed it

I can't imagine this ever going wrong.

This tactic is in the news again because ICE agents in Colorado were filmed breaking the window of a car with a baby in the backseat coloradosun.com/2025/10/01/i...

In July, we documented nearly 50 incidents of immigration officers shattering car windows to make arrests — a tactic experts say was rarely used before Trump took office.

ICE claims its officers use a “minimum amount of force.”

You can judge for yourself.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

Here is what the American Jewish Committee says about the term "Globalists."

"The idea of a Jewish globalist was embedded in the core ideology of Nazism. Hitler often portrayed Jews as 'international elements' posing a threat to all people who are “bounded to their soil, to the Fatherland.'”
ericumansky.bsky.social
How does DHS propose to identify "globalists"?

Also, whispers: Vat's with the goyishe muscle guy?

Fellow members of the tribe:

My child insists that the best way to prep for fast is to skip lunch and then eat big erev dinner. I think this is some TikTok BS.

Thoughts?

So i guess accountability isn’t “essential.“

The VA inspector general’s website has been taken down.

Back in the glory days of functional government websites, you could find endless, incredibly helpful reports on whether the govt was falling should in its promise care for vets.

Ya know, I'm reminded today of a story I did re Eric Adams controlling a secretive, abusive NYPD unit

The connex was so tight, the mayor had access to a *live-feed* of the unit's body-cams

“The unit effectively reported directly to City Hall," a source told me

How Eric Adams Has Backed a Secretive NYPD Unit Ridden With Abuses
After NYPD officials warned about a unit’s aggressive policing, the mayor boosted the team led by his allies. “The unit effectively reported directly to City Hall,” a former police official said.
