In an updated July 31st Form 27 filing with the ECMC, Noble Energy Inc disclosed that 33,104 cubic yards of contaminated soil and 322,530 BBLs (or about 13.5 million gallons) of contaminated water has been removed from the Bishop A07 pad in Galeton, CO.

In today's ECMC Commissioner meeting, additional details were provided about the data integrity issues with spill laboratory analyses first revealed in December 2024, including the most egregious examples of falsification, and 5 additional affected Chevron locations.

The report released this week by PSR Colorado- Physicians for Social Responsibility includes 14 affected wells at the Cosslett East pad in Erie.

An alarming spill notification this week at the SRC Cannon pad east of Berthoud, where "approximately 255 BBL of produced water and frac fluid released from Tank #1 when the SRC Cannon 24-16 CHZ wellhead was impacted by nearby frac operations" at the Koolstra wells 3,000 ft to the southwest.

We now know that 3.7 million gallons of contaminated water and 720 dump truck loads of contaminated soil have been removed from the spill site at Bishop A07-01 Pad. Greg Duranleau, ECMC Deputy Director of Operations gave an update at the ECMC Commissioner meeting on April 30, 2025.

Contaminated groundwater was discovered as a part of this historical spill discovered on April 24, 2025 at the Jillson 5 wellhead in Frederick.

Two new spills reported during the decommissioning activities at the Baker C Unit-61N68W location in Broomfield just southwest of I-25 and CR 6, requiring the excavation and disposal of at least 10 cubic yards of contaminated soil.

Start of Plugging Operations at Alcorn 32-10: This directional well southwest of Lookout Road and N 109th St. just outside of Erie will be plugged and abandoned starting February 20, 2025, expected to last 9 days. A P&A notification for the nearby Alcorn 1 well was sent on February 3.

Another Notice of Alleged Violation (NOAV) for KP Kauffman at the Sack 8-11 facility in Thornton, for failing to file a spill report within 90 days of a spill discovery. The NOAV was issued 529 days after the spill was discovered, almost a year and a half later.
