Does anyone remember the Maunakea protests? How the kanaka inhabited the mauna and came together with donations from locals and distant friends. They shared food, education, aloha from visiting dignitaries etc. We need to do something like that on the mainland this year until the coup is stopped.

I’m thinking this cold winter weather is giving many people time to think hard about what is going on and what they want to do about it. In the spring and summer things are going pop off in a big way 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

My hopeful prediction for all that is happening is that the Unintended Consequence will be that we’ll get to (and have to) recreate the government systems that are being deleted and destroyed. Start making your wish lists for what you want this reformed United States to look like.

Instead of telling someone you don’t like to go fuck themselves you should say go UNfuck yourself. Much more painful, unpleasant, and demanding AND it will get a better result in the end.

Cultivating moments of Joy and Laughter is how I dealt with the tough times I have had these last few years (divorce, death of a parent, job loss).
Not always easy but definitely worthwhile. Long walks in nature, lots of good music & food, even simple tasty dishes, is what this looks like for me.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
