I sent a woman in Georgia bracelets when we were all so hopeful about the election. She just sent this note. I am overwhelmed with sadness, that it felt necessary. Fury, at what is happening in our community. A tiny bit of hope, maybe, that there might be enough sane thinkers to rise up and stop it.

Avoided another depressing as hell news day listening to Pat Barker's "The Silence of the Girls" and working on the Step by Step Sweater by Handmade by Florence. Chose this lavender-gray Sublime from my stash (merino/silk/cashmere). Thanks to @aoc.bsky.social for the pattern inspiration.

I am not planning to disengage fully from the shitshow that is Trump II but I do plan to do a lot of knitting while consuming vast amounts of amusing chicklit audio books. Currently enjoying this delightful (if a bit predictable) love story.
