I got to see my office today!! It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, and having a window is a game changer for me. Really looking forward to putting it together soon and getting settled in.

I had a great time at #ICA25 this year. It was great to reconnect with a lot of people that I hadn't seen in a long time.

Hopefully I'll make it to #ICA26? We'll see!

I'm excited to kick off #ICA25 with some big news.

I’ll be starting at Alfred State College as an Assistant Professor in the Fall! 🎉 I'm grateful for my experience at Penn State and the support of my co-advisors (Christopher Ali and Matt McAllister), who helped prepare me for this next step.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Game Studies division top paper panel! It was a ton of great research, and I was honored to present with some of the best papers of our division this year.

Hi, not sure who's going to be at #nca24 but if anyone wants to catch some cool gaming research, I'm chairing a panel on inclusion and identity in game research on Thursday, and presenting about game difficulty on Friday (co-authored with Sky Anderson!).

I am absolutely happy that Penn State's Thanksgiving break starts this week because I need a long rest.

Went to Google's DC office yesterday for a brown bag. It was such a cool experience!

I passed my dissertation proposal defense today! Big thank you to my amazing committee for great feedback.

Next very important step - actually doing the dissertation itself.

Thank you to DongWook Jeong for guest lecturing in my Gaming & Interactive Media class! DongWook is a fantastic PhD student conducting video game research. It was a great presentation all about eSports and important details anyone who wants to get into the field should know.
