Ain't that just the way.
Americans obviously always had an ego but we could also back it up. From movies, to olympic medals, to Nobel prizes. And this has been where people come to pursue their ambitions, but that's slipping and we dont have universal healthcare so as those claims to dominance fall the faults become worse

Im not just talking about perception Im talking about tangibles. And just to stick to sports 30 years ago the best baseball player: Griffey or Bonds, basketball: Jordan, boxing: Tyson, Tennis: Sampras. All Americans. That wasn't perception it was true. Now? We couldn't claim any of those spots.

But see its beyond just America being hostile its about America's ability to produce the best. Highest grossing movies, most listened to musicians, the most olympic medals. Just in sports the best baseball player in the world: Japanese. Best Baseketball player: Serbian. Its a very broad picture
