Same here (well, typing in kindergarten and it began with a typewriter) and I'm beginning to suspect it's dysgraphia.

If we had UBI (and universal health care) and it was sufficient to cover a decent chunk of my mortgage payment, I'd love to work on the logistical side of the arts, as a manager or producer at a theater.

With a little help with expenses, I could afford to work at a job I had actual passion for.

Not my favorite Carpenters hit, if I'm being honest.

I would also suggest the version of "Run, Rudolph, Run" from that same album, featuring Lemmy, Billy Gibbons, and Dave Grohl.

One of the best Christmas blues boogies you'll ever find.

Molly is absolutely, 1000% correct to include Ronnie James Dio's "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" on that list.

Featuring Tony Iommi on guitar, it is a stone-cold classic Sabbath dirge, yet somehow festive!

It's not free, but the ice rink at Atrium Le 1000 [Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest) is quite fun, even if all you're doing is watching the skaters.

Losing the Sun God early didn't help much, either.

We still don't have it here in Vermont, and our state constitution says that if you claim to be a Christian, you should go to church on Sunday.

But we *can* buy scratch-off lotto tickets with debit cards, from the vending machines at the supermarkets.

This sounds like something @bencollins.bsky.social would write.

In Vermont we preemptively cut them (Afghani Special Immigrant Visa holders) off from SNAP benefits in anticipation of the feds someday asking us to do that.

As expected, the feds did indeed recently impose a five-year waiting period for otherwise eligible immigrants to receive SNAP assistance.

I can't comment on that; I haven't read it.

Specifically I'm recalling the franske ("French") hot dogs:

Hollow out a grilled baguette, fill the center with your condiments of choice, and plunge the hot dog into the hole.

Did you see how the Danes serve hot dogs?

Do you folks take pet food, too?

I have to fly home on Thursday and regret I didn't pack my Zubaz.
