You are quite right, 7 kW is more than enough.
Got it for the vehicle to house capability but must say it is very nice to fully charge in less than 3 hours when one is in a bit of a hurry.
We can easily do 5 - 80 % from the battery which is very convenient when arriving home after dark from a trip.
