Maybe, but when “collectivism” means free buses and help for the poor you loose your ever loving mind. When “collectivism” means bail outs for Wall Street you have a difficult time mustering a tepid tongue cluck.

The “problem” is libs hold their politicians responsible for failure, while the GOP voter is quick to embrace “new” ideas (Gulf of America, Somali fraud) and quickly forget failed campaign promises of affordability or transparency with the Epstein files. Shrug.

I wasn’t providing an “answer” - just pointing out that (in your example) libs trying and failing to provide transportation infrastructure in one state is less damaging to the public trust compared to the national GOP failing to produce the “better healthcare” they’ve been promising for 15 yrs.

Liberals failed on high speed rail in the great state of CA, conservatives can’t be bothered to even propose a fix for healthcare on a national level while electing a felon who has cheated on all 3 of his wives. One seems more damaging to the public trust than the other!

We know that giving the rich tax breaks on their planes and keeping their taxes low hasn’t worked. Since Reagan. Might as while try something else - god knows we’ve given the alternative plenty of chances.

You’re worry about losing the federal and state income tax of a hedge fund manager or other billionaires? You realize that they have no income to tax because they borrow against their own assets instead of taking salaries?

lol. The NHS covers every citizen, costs a fraction of the US system and has far better health outcomes. Not one Brit will go bankrupt because of an illness, compared to 1M Americans per year. Your research skills seem…suspect.

Im in MA where we tax those making more than $1M. They haven’t left. I’d ask, what’s the downside if they do? If the CEO of a hedge fund leaves CT, for example, what’s the downside for regular people?

Do yourself a favor and spend 10 minutes on Google. Look at how the UK, France or Germany handle healthcare across the income spectrum. This isn’t hard.

Where will they go? This is the only country in the world that refuses to tax people making galactic amounts of money at a significant rate. Also, tax breaks for private jets??? And if they stop hoarding wealth, well, ok.
