Great. That’s sensible. I absolutely support teaching people to be critical thinkers. That’s a good long term solution.

“Just stop believing” might work for some. “Christianity is evil” might work for others. And I wish you good luck with those approaches.
But a lot of people are pushed away by that rhetoric, right into the arms of the christofascists.

I care about practicalities. About helping and protecting people in need.
There are a LOT of people out there who really want to be good Christians, and if we don’t provide them a positive home, they’ll flock to the evil ones like the NITB.

And I’m not trying to defend Christianity here. If Christianity were to disappear tomorrow, perhaps that would be the best for humanity.
