Yeah, I deleted the link because it didn't really pertain, but I forgot to delete the preview. 😅 web.archive.org/web/20100409... on the off chance you're curious/it's helpful.

(Also, sorry for getting a little intense about your project - I've been kicking around thoughts on how I might make a home for my work and your idea really inspired me.)

Found a working capture! Looking at it now, I don't think it's a good 1:1 for your project. I recall that sites like this back in the day had pages with the character's profile, plus pages for art and fics you like. If your blorbo is an OC, you could use the site to organize your art and writing.

This rocks. I had a site like this in the early 00s for a Japanese band. It had been available more or less whole on the Wayback Machine, but it looks like it's been lost. If you're seriously looking for inspiration/if it would be helpful, I can dig through my old HTML files to find the page types.

Olease, please, please tell me you want to essentially create a Geocities site for your blorbo, like a digital zine. This would be such a lovely, punk, nostalgic idea.

I feel like eggs died for our sins, how else could they be so perfect? 😌
January 27, 2026 at 8:43 PM
AO3 of course does this for fanfic, but is there someplace that does this for original works? Is that just a blog? I don't really even want to sell this stuff. I don't need the money from my work, I need the feedback. Does this question even make sense?

Sara, why would you say this 😭

I love the idea that they're both gills and the slats in the side of electronics to allow cooling - peak.

Nm, found it! I remember this now. Not sure why the designs seem so much more compelling in the fan art, but now I really have to figure out how to knit some of these. 🥰
December 1, 2025 at 2:33 PM
That explains why it's so consistent! I need to knit all of these, lol. I wish the original was still up - I'm so curious to see it!

I wanted to push back on this, but it occurred to me that "Bloom" does technically contain a twist. That said, the story is so "the narrator doth protest too much" that I can't help but think of the twist as nearly anti-climactic/highly foreseeable. Does that still count?
December 1, 2025 at 10:22 AM
"Bloom" (the only story I've ever published) is just shy of 500 words. It doesn't have a plot to speak of and only one proper character, not counting the largely reative narrator. I think of it more as a character study/short history. Can't tell if it helps or not that it's creative non-fiction...
December 1, 2025 at 10:20 AM
Did you create the design for it? I've seen it all over and low-key want to try knitting it for myself...

Just went on to follow you (follow completed, btw) and saw you're already at 262k. I hit the follow button and all I could think was "You absolute idiot!!!" ❤️

Oh my god, the involuntary shudder that I knew was going to happen but couldn't stop. 😅

I do this a lot too. My older work is meh, but the newer the work, the more impressed I am with myself. 🥰

This Alastor is activating my bi panic and I love it.
