There's just something enormously entertaining about watching a small child trying to eat sugar free jelly with their hands

When you finally do what everyone tells you you need to do (do something for myself) & it just makes everything horrible & wish you'd never bothered going out in the first place.

Yay! No heating or hot water just as we hit sub zero temps. Boiler displaying a fault message. 🥶

I really need the fireworks to stop now. They've disturbed Baby's sleep & if she wakes fully, that's my sleep gone for the next couple of days whilst she recalibrates.

Other than that, happy new year 🎉

4 hour journey with a 1yr old xmas elf. Said elf now asleep in her travel cot. Her first proper xmas tomorrow. Our first xmas as a family.

The best xmas gift anyone could give me right now is 10hrs of uninterrupted sleep.

It was Baby's 1st birthday today. Still can't believe it.

This time last year, she was a tiny 4lb 4oz/1.99kg, on a ventilator, connected to mounds of cables & tubes, under a UV light in an incubator.

Now she's a strong, healthy 1yr old with no hint she's an ex-preemie

Looks like Baby might be allergic to strawberries 😔

This time last year I was being admitted into hospital with hyperemesis & extremely high blood pressure. I didn't come home until end of February.

I get so much anxiety hitting me in the evenings at the moment. It all seems to centre around Baby's looming birthday & the trauma around her birth/prematurity. Just wish I knew how to shake it off.

Baby finally sleeps through the night 2 nights in a row. So naturally, I wake in the middle of the night due to migraine pain & nausea *sigh*

So, studying didn't happen. Fell asleep instead 🙈

As glad as I am to be here, I should probably think about doing some studying.
