Exactly. The only difference between meta and tik tok is that meta is publicly traded. Tik tok is not.

They can have my data. I’ve got 1k in the bank, a car payment, a mortgage payment, 5 kids, and a job I sometimes tolerate. There’s not much here!!

Let’s not pretend the tik tok ban has anything to do with data or china. It has everything to do with controlling the information we consume. They can’t control the communities that have been created on tik tok. Millions of Americans have organized against the government and they are scared.

How is that different than anything our government has allowed for the past 20 years? Meta has been sued for collecting and selling our data. I get emails weekly that my data has been breached.

We literally do not care. I’d much rather give my data to china than allow our corrupt government to continue to make money off shady deals and harmful policies. I’ll call china and give them my social security number before I use anything meta has created ever again!
