The Best Practices that CISA released yesterday include a recommendation to stop using SMS for logins. This isn't the first time we've heard this recommendation. I hope it will motivate people to disable SMS where they can and request that option in places they can't.

Called my bank today & after authenticating via various reasonable methods the agent said that next time it would be faster now that they saved my voice print.

I had to have them remove that feature from my account immediately as a form of “authentication.”
They sounded surprised I didn’t want it.

For anyone who claims there's such a thing as "maintenance-free code" simply because if hasn't changed in a while, github.com/python/cpyth... was just opened about a nearly 22 year old comment I wrote about code that has existed since I introduced `time.strptime()` as my 1st contribution to Python
