At the falls, he never showed up. I asked a group of people there if they had seen him and told them the situation. They offered to hike down with me. Lovely bunch from Wisconsin. We passed him, still waiting next to the trail. He followed us to the lot and sped off as I waited in my locked car

I saw him ahead not to soon after I started hiking, waiting off-trail (this is a paved ~1 mile hike to the falls). I decided to stay off trail and hike on the boulders above trail on the other side and passed him without him noticing.
