If Brexit has hit the economy, devolution is going to aggravate that effect.

Don’t tell me…. You don’t care if it makes you poorer.

I would much rather move Westminster to Glasgow!

We don’t suddenly become different people when we age.
We though might reassess earlier actions that resulted from our inner beliefs.
When this happens, it is normal to apologise and make it clear that one was extremely foolish.
So Nigel do explain….

Amazing how Japan can run rail services through populated areas without fencing or draconian speed limits. We can similarly have roads running past housing estates again without fencing or special speed limits.
Why is there a problem with public transport in this country?

A true Trump acolyte

John Prescott did a U turn on carbon taxes at the start of the millennium and look where that has got us.

But does he not have a point? We have gone beyond the point where normal confrontational politics is going to resolve UK problems.

And equal worries about carrying round litres of highly flammable liquid in fossil cars

I don’t disagree. But it’s not nearly enough.

When North Sea oil volumes dropped at the end of the 90’s we had a problem.

We then built a financial services industry that helped replace the lost revenue.

But the US financial crash turned everyone against bankers and Brexit killed that goose.

Don’t quite recognise these figures, but I don’t understand where the money is coming from to pay for state pensions as we pensioners increase in number?
Not a new problem. I was concerned 30 years ago that this day would come!

Ten years after we left the EU, the proponents of Brexit are still successfully blaming the current administration for the consequences of that decision.

Is America going to have the same problems dealing with MAGA?

There are huge parallels with the UK Brexit.

When a large portion of the population have been deceived into putting all their hopes into a scam, then it becomes a subject nobody dare mention.
November 28, 2025 at 10:26 PM
When you read today’s ridiculous Daily Mail headline you realise there’s a whole section of the population who have been completely brainwashed.

Many Brexiteers said they didn’t care if they would be poorer after Brexit. Hopefully they will now be happy to pay extra to compensate those of us who voted Remain?

Maybe they want them to learn Gaelic?

Electric vehicles don’t suffer with this problem. Only old fashioned mechanical engines.

My heart is so heavy 😡🥶

It seems a lot of US people disagree that the trickle down theory implied in this quote is actually working for them.

We feel overtaxed because Brexit inspired employment losses and the incompetent covid response have together created a black hole at the heart of uk government finances.
November 21, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Afraid I tend to disagree with you all.
Yes this isn’t what the core Labour voter wanted, but it is what a lot of others wanted.
I agree that adopting this policy is very unlikely to win others over to voting Labour again. Unfortunately KS is completely shafted by the media whatever he does.

It was going to be introduced by Gordon Brown around the year 2000 but he chickened out. His worst ever decision.

Ed Davey has plenty of energy and charisma, but he has been banned from the BBC who are too busy showcasing Trumps acolyte.
