Outstanding and so was Schmid. Two highway robberies of Caufield, both right in his wheelhouse. Couldn’t see the first one until I got home, but that second one was right in front of us. Amazing.

They would not have even gotten one point vs VGK without Dobeš. That said I think the bigger problem is their in-zone coverage. If you look at the Hutson breakaway, he stole the puck at our blueline. I love the kid, but what is a defenseman doing covering his own blueline? That’s on the system.

I didn’t say it was a good move, but that’s the thinking. They did it often last year with Dvorak. Suzuki was losing a lot of draws so maybe he wasn’t comfortable letting him take the draw.
