Font of insight and irrepressible brillian...wait, why's my bed all wet again?
Probably more important than what the NLRB would say about it is the fact that you can imagine a lot of employers being open to persuasion on the issue without *that* much pressure, which is...not usually the case on these things!

I remain inextricably on my bullshit here.

Quietly enamored with this song as a sort of counterpoint to the "You and I are going to ruin each other's lives" section of TMG's songbook, and also with how it's maybe part of that section if you turn your head the other way.

Like, obviously that's repugnant on its merits, but also: There is no world in which the U.S. courts would pretend any comparable hypothetical "fear" justified standing...unless it tied into some other conservative paranoia.

It's an ideology that starts and stops at "For my enemies, the law."

Literally ~30 pages of judges pretending to take seriously the argument, "This law makes me afraid to be awful to my kid, because they might make the rational decision that they're better off literally anywhere I'm not," like it's a cognizable constitutional harm.

It does make sense! A dream about needing a bathroom would lack a certain verisimilitude at this point.

And probably! I've let my sleep habits get wildly inconsistent, so I can't really complain about the lack of progress. Gonna try to get back on the li'l bedtime routine I was tracking for a bit.

Weird amount of accidental dream journaling on here recently, but oh well!

Pretty sure just straight-up copying lyrics like this counts as Middleposting, btw.

Somehow I have neglected The Coroner's Gambit to date, despite my yearslong The Mountain Goats obsession, but I was deeply misguided and know better now.

Pretty sure I know what prompted it, because my subconscious isn't slick, but also what a dumb thing to have a nightmare over!

...as if I'd ever let anything bad happen to my stuffed animals!!

Though also the fact that it seems so unique makes me a little sad. It's prob'ly not good to read something that feels super relatable and go, "Oh, I didn't know you could write humanizing stories about that."

I'm not sure that's something I've seen done before (at least with "Little" adjacent stuff), let alone so well. It's really compelling!
