NB/GQ geek doing their best to evolve from a filthy monkey man with the help of modern pharmaceuticals.
I haven't watched it in years, but I will regularly pop on the soundtrack, because goddam is it good…

I've always been partial to head explodeys personally, but don't let me keep you from your dreams.

And with that I am all caught up on the podcast, aside from the Trump episodes—because fuck me I just haven't worked up the fortitude to put myself through that torture.

In my mind the "Tron franchise" consists entirely of the original movie and the better-than-it-had-any-right-to-be Tron 2.0 video game, and nothing else.

That happens even with a more Americanized spelling. In the area I grew up one of the nearby towns was named Wooster, pronounced by locals the same as Worcester (Wuster), but even people *living in the same state* not from that area frequently mispronounce it as "Wooh-stir".

I guess I'd just never consciously paired the two concepts before. I would pretty much generally agree with your take on it though.

I think that's partially on me having pulled back from transhumanism after the '00s after some of the less cash money aspects started appearing in my periphery.

I've always meant to do more digging into the frankly odd (to me at least) conspiratorial conflation of transhumanism and trans folks, but…<gesticulates erratically at everything> just haven't had the time or spell slots to do so, so this article is a great resource.
