Yeah absolutely fair, this was a very loosey-goosey methodology. My point is that we likely would have one or two more wins without him based on PIMs alone.

That would change our record from 7-7-0 to 9-5-0 and put us at the top of the division. This is all theoretical and there's no guarentee we'd actually be there, or that a replacement-level player would take fewer penalties, but geez.

Kane has 28 PIMs, let's average that to 14 penalties. Canucks have a PK% of 69.4 this season, meaning that 5 goals on average have been scored over those 14 penalties. We'd likely win somewhere close to half of the games if those were distributed evenly, so let's say an additional 2 wins.

I genuinely loved the movie when I saw it in theaters but understand it falls into the "not for everyone" category.
