my original ick was the potential for use cases less benign than food delivery eg crowd control or surveillance. whether it’s 100% autonomous or 50% autonomous and a single person can supervise multiple units the ick still stands

i find autonomous robots obscurely offensive, autonomous robots mapping routes in a city that’s routinely occupied by state and federal forces is probably fine though
