In 2015, it was obvious to me that stopping Eastern Europeans from entering the country was a cipher for deporting black & brown people that have been in the UK for generations.

I knew that because people were literally saying that out loud at the time.

This is not news, this was the next step.

A songwriter should understand the very simple thing that if he has to add a message to his flag to make the point he thinks he is making, he isn’t actually just hanging a flag. It is actually a rejection of it, just one too subtle and pointless

I am generally in the "if we judged pop music by its lyrics we would all look silly pretty quickly" camp, tho that isn’t to say good lyrics don't exist or can't be important, but if the tunes were any good the shit lyrics would be less noticeable
