New paper by @fjwillemsen.bsky.social with Rob van Nieuwpoort and Ben van Werkhoven. They show that while auto-tuning frameworks rely heavily on optimization algorithms, their hyperparameters are almost never tuned—despite being crucial for efficiency.

In 2024 we started working on the DroneML project which involved processing archaeological sensor data recorded with drones using machine learning. This led to the development of CoeusAI, a plugin for the open-source software package QGIS.
