It's going to be a long month leading up to the EBU's vote to exclude Israeli broadcaster KAN from the Eurovision Song Contest. @ascottreid.bsky.social has some tips on understanding the social media messaging that will flood the Eurovision community. escinsight.com/2025/09/29/f...
A quote from an article on Israel's possible exclusion from Eurovision. It says, "The appearance of any country at the Eurovision Song Contest has geopolitical consequences. And different countries have different interests. Take that into account in any report you read, or any tweet you see, especially if it comes from an unfamiliar source. It may be false, or it may be a deliberate attempt to mislead to fit a political agenda."

No other organisation has committed to a report and vote on Israel's inclusion in the way that the EBU has over KAN's Eurovision entry. The EBU is under considerable scrutiny over its decision. Read more on @escinsight.com escinsight.com/2025/09/24/h...
A caption linking to a story on Israel's incluion at Eurovision. The text reads "The reality is that every other organisation will be watching the EBU with interest to see whether the Contest maintains its inclusion of Israel or takes the unprecedented step of exclusion. That makes the EBU’s decision for 2026 a defining one."

The article begins with a summary of the work, followed by @bensvision.bsky.social laying out our in-depth research, which includes links to sources and news reports. It's worth noting that, in committing to a report and vote on exclusion, the EBU could be the first global org to take such action.
