I've never actually tried any hallucinogens, which is probably a good thing since I already have vivid and weird dreams. I tried to get a guy I worked with at the record store to hook me up but he refused, and looking back he was clearly watching out for my safety. 😝

And editing the title in Apple Music does indeed make it scrobble correctly in LastFM, I was skeptical it would actually work because this entire service seems to be held together by duct tape and bailing wire and sometimes feels like it hasn't been updated since 2009.

I've just learned you can edit the track titles for songs saved to your library in the desktop app, so I've done that for "Off With Her Tits", too late for that one errant scrobble but at least it's fixed now.

And yet there are so many people out there who don't appreciate it. I don't understand!

Oh good, the first month really IS a free trial, the way it's explained when you're signing up is very confusing and makes it sound like you're still going to be charged for that first month.

I'm listening to Girl With No Face again because, well, I clicked on it and didn't actually mean to play it but now I'm noticing the sound quality's definitely better (lossless is the default here rather than an option you have to seek out).

Apple Music also seems to have more censorship of song titles, I've noticed it with Allie X's "Off With Her Tits" and Ethel Cain's "Fuck Me Eyes", wonder if this is going to affect how they scrobble.

Anyway, everything seems to be working satisfactorily with the desktop setup, I'm sure it'll inexplicably break at some point like it regularly did with YouTube Music. Haven't tried mobile yet though I installed the Apple Music app and it shows up as a toggle in the LastFM app on Android.

Also, does Apple Music not display singles as their own thing? I'm seeing the Harry Styles single as the first and only currently available track on his forthcoming album, but not as a single just by itself.

So now I'm experimenting with LastFM scrobbling options since Apple Music doesn't connect directly to LastFM the way Spotify does, and I noticed something: using Web Scrobbler with the web player, classical music scrobbles the same as on Spotify, with the composer showing as the artist. BUT...

Went ahead and imported my Spotify playlists and library in case I decide to switch permanently, there were a few things that didn't import (mostly from a couple of specific ECM albums, though the rest of the label's catalog seems to be fine) but overall it was a smooth process.
