Insipid but well-meaning software developing art gremlin.

"Incoherent; mayhem." - 4/5 stars.

"Couldn't make any sense of any of it, it's like he's talking to himself." - 2/5 stars.

I love this!

I did something which is real extra of me (sorry for that!), and noodled on your page styles a bit. I love what you've got, but it helped for my own legibility. gist.github.com/esmevane/37e...

Mostly I blocked up some text and applied some tones (taken from the robes on /principles).

Oh my god. It's been a long time since I've felt like a ruby fan but I think I just hit the brink of "how soon can I totally stop supporting this ecosystem" while reading that.

You understand that they chose to add the "Problem"? That was a conscious intent of theirs. The other item isn't "solving a huge problem", it's offering an alternative to the default.

The game isn't happening to you by accident. They didn't blunder into making a game and go "oopsy we made it hard".

We've got to figure out how to talk good and stuff.

The models whenever you give them the feedback that they shouldn't just make up code shaped things, they actually need to write something that compiles, and works as well.

fwiw (not really a big deal, just thought you'd like to know!) it seems like the "snap to full opacity" effect actually isn't happening in Firefox, it just fades from its starting opacity

Check out this bad boy: this is designed to use inference to create a lookup table of other types, from a generated client library.

I later use that type-based lookup table to generate loads of global failsafes which turn most of my API-related runtime errors into type hints / warnings / errors.

All of this is for my pet collab editor project because I keep getting into holes where I have functionality that I want to add but I don't actually care about where it goes necessarily. It can be invoked from a command runner for all I care, until I need to put it somewhere that's fine.

I'm reading a thread right now where a bunch of (genuinely!) smart people are talking about responsive / interactive webpage stuff and half the posts are just dragging on JS, but they haven't mentioned anything you'd need JS for.

An illustration I noodled on while putting my son to sleep, from a while ago. Took me about a week. I like to play with just one brush and just one tone. At first to practice, but now I just prefer it.

fully

I have some modes on my screen, most of the time it's full screen but I also have a "general communication / work" screen and it's got an arrangement, that's where spotify is, and I fully keep this much visible. and even that's too much!

this. it's weird how often they chase people out to other networks to scold them, too.
