Just a lovely day uptown - Want to to slow-ride to Canada up the Hudson River, into the Adirondacks, along Lake Champlain? Or from Buffalo to Albany - along the Erie Canal? I do. The Empire State Trail makes it possible. And we're gonna build sections here on Long Island, the Long Island Greenway.

'We use them every day': In some parts of the US, the clack of typewriter keys can still be heard
Computers and smartphones might be where most writing is done these days, but typewriters still have work to do in the US.

Food safety experts warn that federal cuts will leave people more vulnerable to foodborne illness. Worse, the Trump regime has stopped federal surveillance of the food supply for multiple pathogens that attack meat products & vegetables/fruit👇

“I believe that the founders of our nation would be horrified by the contemporary use of the pardon power, which represents a far cry from the unifying act of mercy it was intended to be.”

Pardons are political, with modern presidents expanding their use
Trump and Biden have issued pardons at a faster clip than their predecessors. Many of their decisions appear to have been political or personal in nature.

Last I checked, it’s about $60/foot to run a line. That can add up to $6000 for a gas conversion cost - usually from oil heating.
💥UPDATE: we won!

NY Gov Kathy Hochul just SIGNED the bill to rescind a stupid subsidy for fracked gas: the hateful 100-ft rule, which forces all of us who pay utility bills to cover the cost of hooking up new homes to old gas lines. We save $6 million + incentivize electric.
