Im sorry but how does that not fit even your own definition of a parasite/host relationship?

The cut tree relies on the other for both habitat and resources, or does the left tree just magically float in the air if you were to cut down the right one, and materialize nutrients out of thin air?

Debateable, biologically speaking the only purpose of an organism is to reproduce, so therefore having and making sure your offspring reaches adulthood would be a net positive, no matter what happens to you as an organism
Though if you only consider your own wellbeing then babies would be a parasite

Parasitic Relationships have nothing to do whether an organism "wants" to or not, if it's a net positive for one of the 2 organisms and a net negative for the other (without killing it outright), it is a parasitic relationship, Which this one clearly is.
