As enforced disappearance is shamelessly coming during the current rise of authoritarianism, the perseverance and success of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo should give us inspiration and hope for people's power. THANK YOU Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo for all you have done and continue doing.

They have accomplished so much since 1977, but the work of the organization is still continuing. A few days ago the 140th person was identified with DNA tests, who had been born during their disappeared mother's custody and raised by a family chosen by the murderers of their biological mother.

Like Galatasaray Square that activates with the Saturday Mothers--also protesting against the enforced disappearance of their family members-- the Plaza instantly transformed with the arrival of the group, their march, posters, songs, and chants.
