I’ve always wondered what the controversy was with Moor

May result in lower fares or higher fares, but most probably higher fares. That’s what they should say

It’s outrageous! I haven’t seen anything about this, and I’m guessing everyone else will similarly be getting a shock this morning/through the week

We were told rail fares were being frozen. This was a barefaced lie. All this on a network where none of these measures were introduced during years of private ownership

Super Off-peak from Chelmsford has gone. Around 10% increase
December 8, 2025 at 7:06 AM
If you returned from London after 9am this was off-peak. Now they’ve introduced an afternoon/evening peak starting from 4pm. If you have an off-peak ticket you now need to carefully plan your day, wait until 7pm, or buy a new off-peak/peak ticket which is 27% more.

Are you conflating Chelmsford the city with Chelmsford the local authority area? For some of the outlying villages Epping makes sense. For city dwellers it just doesn’t
November 14, 2025 at 4:26 PM
Indeed but petrol costs and so does the car park. And it takes extra time. Have you got stats showing high usage from Chelmsford at Epping?
November 14, 2025 at 3:09 PM
This is clearly written without any knowledge of Chelmsford, and I assume of similarly distanced places. I’m sure *some* people drive to Epping. But I’m confident that amount is negligible. I only hear of people doing it when our trains aren’t running. Usage stats for Chelmsford speak for themselves

We had our Christmas night out at the Sebright Arms which is small, I’ll say about 10 years ago. These were playing that night. A colleague wanted to stay on but was overruled. Off we went to a mediocre restaurant instead

A decent sunflower coming up probably belongs in the totally normal category too

Is it penalising? They are greener yes but they still use and cause wear and tear on infrastructure. They still contribute to congestion

The 10 pennes are in addition to several other pasta types, it’s definitely ours which is more restrictive. I’ve cited Albania because I was there most recently and objectively is ‘less developed’. But you could pick any European country, hands down they have more real choice than us
November 4, 2025 at 10:35 PM
It’s an illusion of choice, all our supermarkets sell variations of the same things. We can buy a few pastas but go to a supermarket in Albania, they about 10 variations just of penne! Different lengths, thicknesses. UK supermarket fruit & veg is pathetic, 3-4 melons out of the dozens available

Get what you’re saying about Linkin Park but they are still enormous, definitely a headliner. Bush are only in small font, they used to be massive
