Actually it was called Spooks in the UK and MI-5 here, so you're not wrong either way

I'm so glad to see him getting recognized. He's been one of my favorite actors for a long time

Please, please take care of yourself. I know so many people stressing themselves into poor health, and one had a stroke. You're very good about reminding others to take care of themselves, so please take your own advice!

Socca is cheap, easy, filling and delicious. Basic recipe is chickpea flour (or besan flour at the Indian store, slightly different but cooks the same), water, oil and salt, cook in the oven or like pancakes. (Don't undercook). Look up besan chilla, socca and farinata for flavor/recipe variants

It's suddenly noisier than the 4th of July here in Pomona CA, so I'm guessing LA won.

Our artichokes were big and beautiful and always full of earwigs. 🤢 I could never bring myself to clean and eat them, but my landlord would. He grew up subsistence farming and was less squeamish. Now we're in an apartment and I have a few herbs in pots, and we grow microgreens indoors.

We used to rent part of a house with a big garden and some fruit trees in LA County. We managed to get most of our produce out of it, but we could never have survived on it. I miss it though, and there was some security in always having something tasty and nutritious to go with staples.

In Southern California you can garden year round, and some people get impressive yields from backyard gardens. All you need is a million dollars for property and a family who can garden nonstop instead of working full time.

Lacking a small fluffy dog, I had to settle for naming the cat Fizzgig.

It's still afternoon in California, but plans after work include a walk around the nearby campus and then catching up on Josh Johnson comedy specials.

Your detail about the paladin and his relatives all spinning to provide for the one weaver in the family made my textile nerd heart happy too.

I've been meaning to ask, do the ebook distributors all pay you the same and treat you the same, or are there some that you prefer your readers to patronize? I've been trying to avoid the evil empire and have switched to kobo, but I'm wondering if there's a choice that would be better.

You're in luck, Josh Johnson is a very prolific comedian who posts tons of his material on YouTube.

Of course he's an evil abuser, but who typed and drew this for him to sign? Surely he doesn't type, let alone draw.

I know Noam! I attended a conference with him once and he was so wonderful and kind and brilliant. I'm so proud of him, and I can't wait to read this!

Whittier Narrows park in El Monte is closed this afternoon, and my husband said it was packed full of all sorts of law enforcement vehicles, many dozens at least.

A collection agency sent a server out with papers for my SCA friend and his roommates sent them away and told him when he got home, "hey Hogarr, they were looking for some guy named Ron, do you know him?"

It reminds me of the classes I took about traditional African art. The artists are perfectly capable of drawing realistic human figures, and historically they certainly could (see the Ife bronzes) but many choose not to for spiritual reasons. I know not all is spiritual, lol, but seems possible.

I saved a gecko from a glue trap at my sister's condo on Maui this afternoon.
