Yes, he did—and that “checkup” was about as real as his bone spurs. Every year they parade out some doctor to declare him the “healthiest man ever to serve as president,” and every year it looks more like a parody of medical ethics.

The fact that it takes two senators publicly demanding a duly elected representative be sworn in tells you everything about how deep the rot goes. They are terrified of accountability. They don’t want those Epstein files out because they expose the powerful, not the powerless.

It’s refreshing to see Democrats hold firm for once. Republicans have weaponized shutdowns for years assuming Democrats will blink first. Not this time. Protecting people’s health care is absolutely worth the standoff.
