I'm a dad, husband, Mechanical Engineer, and enthusiast of motorsports, EVs, and progress.
For it to be obsolete thinking, wouldn't you need to be able to point to abundant surpluses of green energy, or a hydrogen energy cycle efficiency that's close to 80%? Did either of these happen? I find debating with limited characters too difficult and will cease replying.

Did you listen to the podcast? The whole thesis is that anything that can be powered by "green" hydrogen can be done so cheaper and with superior thermodynamic efficiency through direct electrification.

The constant moving of the goal posts is immensely frustrating. The "I'm waiting for... " people will always have some new hurdle for EV tech to clear and simply refuse to acknowledge that EVs are already good enough and the constant pros are enough to offset the occasional con.

What is the email address? I would like to submit an objection to hydrogen and my support for electrification. This is a no brainer, and we won't have two chances to get this right.

Maybe this is a good thing. If history repeats itself it could mean that a small Chinese team will come out of nowhere with a cheaper, more efficient, and equally capable fusion reactor.

I agree it's sad, but hopefully another EV startup bankruptcy will recalibrate people's perceptions of reality when it comes to EV startups. The odds of a startup surviving are very slim now that legacy automakers are actually taking EVs seriously and there's substantial competition.

I really enjoyed this and found it interesting. I'm sure I will frequently notice examples all around me. I'm definitely looking forward to the inevitable comment reaction video where we learn that the real difference between urban and rural is the amount of "betas" and "soyboys".
