Val'dran's reaction depends a bit on how much time has passed, if he has any reason to trust Rolim a *smidgen* yet. But in general, he's sceptical but not afraid.

Offering his blood wouldn't actually *occur* to him though.

Val'dran has essentially always been wandering since he first fled his House in his 30s. He has some home bases though.

The Bregan D'aerthe compound in the Clawrift of Menzoberranzan. A lil apartment in Luskan. An inn room in Neverwinter.

And now Halsin and Sorn, where they may be.

It is *incredibly difficult* to get Val'dran drunk, but should you somehow have succeeded... 👀

He's definitely The Philosopher, for one thing. But in addition, he's less the Flirty and more the Cuddly, seeking out physical affection from the people he likes and pressing close ❤️

I don't think I've given much of my own culture to Val'dran 🤔 Beyond the Norwegian "don't talk to me" anyway 😂

I do hc that in a modern/human AU, he's from somewhere in the middle eastern region, though I haven't researched enough to know exactly where yet.

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

Frankly, for all he has experienced, the scariest thing was the very real threat of being turned into an illithid.

Val'dran has lost control over circumstances before, he's lost control of his demonic side, but he could always get it back. As an illithid, as a hive mind...?
