While Val'dran's been a fair bit on the surface by now, he's certainly not from around Baldur's Gate. They have different habits there compared to Luskan and Neverwinter. Why are surfacers so *different* when they're the same?
And by the abyss why are they so quick to *trust*?

Val'dran's preferred style is something like sleek and unobtrusive. Clothes that fit well without too many embellishments, oftentimes a slinking sort of movement, and quiet talks.
His style of *flirting* though... is perhaps best described as awkward stumbling and glances through lashes

Val'dran was always supposed to be a fighter, but veered hard into rogue instead when he had a choice. Fighting directly is far too scary.
If it hadn't been rogue though, his liking for archery would likely have led him to gloomstalker ranger 😂 Same same but different!

Val'dran enjoys making and breaking codes, or plonking on his lyre. He's not a bard by any means, but he can play simple things and enjoys improvising.
A skill he originally got for a job, he's since kept it, and can occasionally be convinced to play for others in downtime.

There is no denying that Val'dran *does* get a bit sulky when he gets told off for doing something he thinks is perfectly sensible. Like choosing to kill instead of knocking people out.

To Val'dran, beauty is in details. He can recognise objective beauty, but it doesn't really mean much - in so many cases, beauty is skin deep.

Val'dran's partner in crime is without a doubt his best friend Braelin! The two of them egg each other on, banter and tease, but they have each other's back for when shit goes down as well.
They might only work together on rare occasion, but one can be sure they'll have a good time!

Val'dran is always viewing situations out from the criteria of whether it will harm him and whether it will be useful to Bregan D'aerthe.
The situation during the quest is Yes to Harm and No to Useful, making for a very upset and panicky drow.
...But he did get some friends out of it.

Val'dran isn't stubborn, he's merely determined to do his job properly. It's not his fault if other people are in the way of that with their wrong ideas or suggestions.
(He'll consider changing his mind if you can prove to him something is wrong or a better way, but you better prove it).

Val'dran doesn't see the reason to have tattoos, and even if he did, he has only ever seen dark tattoos or magically applied ones. Surely the common kind would neither be shown nor have much purpose on as dark skin as he has?
