It was one of the most covered and debated bills of the session. It would be hard to be interested in Colorado local politics and not have heard about it.

This state is majority unaffiliated. I don’t think someone the Dems cannot even coalesce around stands a realistic chance.

Higher education costs have dramatically outpaced general inflation and even healthcare inflation (at times).
Anything that can be done to dramatically decrease the cost of higher education is a good thing, but it’s not clear to me this will do it.

Eh, I am not so sure. Trump was propelled into office on a populist affordability message, as was Mamdani, and Trump is in a bit of a slump politically. Attaching himself to Mamdani on the issue of affordability and reducing major crime is a no-loss play.

While I do not personally agree with conversion therapy, the ban is a mistake and infringement. The first ammendment covers speech that is reprehensible, vile, and vulgar. However, the government has no business censoring speech, especially legitimately held religious beliefs.

Minnesota got a “B” from Gifford for their gun control laws and is ranked 14th in the nation for their gun control laws by Everytown.

We should be restricting the legislature and executive branch from pulling these kinds of shenanigans with stronger constitutional protections.

If you want to eat junk food, perhaps the government shouldn’t pay for it? On the other hand, I am happy to see the removal of the hot grocery food restriction, things like rotesserie chicken are easy, tasty, and fairly healthy.

You can amend the constitution, it’s been done before. If you believe the 2nd ammendment should go away, there is a process to do it. However, jamming down a bunch of unconditional legislative rules and executive orders isn’t it.
