My great-grandparents were murdered in Treblinka, the notorious Nazi death camp, in 1942. My ggf was my age.
Whisked away and executed by agents of the state who could kill with impunity. The parallels are terrifying.

I had the honor of interviewing Miyazaki in his personal workspace at the Studio Ghibli compound years ago for the NY Daily News and Wizard Magazine. One of the highlights of my entertainment journalism career. But damn, he must have smoked almost a full pack of cigs during a 30 minute interview.
