My arms drop to my lap and I look back to Rory. He lays face down, face buried in the pillow. His platinum white hair is a hot fucking mess and his back is covered with red scratch marks. I smirk. I lean down slowly, knowing exactly what I want. I put my lips against his ear and take in his scent, sweat from the previous night. “Coffee!” I shout. Rory shoots up and gasps. I laugh as I sit up and sit back. “Ugh,” he lays against me and sighs. I put my arms over his warm and big chest. Fuckin’ ripped. We sit in silence like this for a minute.

I look at him, “close the door. You’re letting bugs in.” “I might go to my room tonight.” He says quietly. “Oh. Why?” I ask. “Why stay? It’s not like you care.” I cock my head to the side. What’s he talking about? “Where’d you get that idea from?” I stand up and walk to the door, push it shut. Rory looks at me. I turn to him. “You. Earlier today at the diner and when you were on break.” “What?” I ask. “You looked at me with such…” He fusses but trails off when he can’t find the words. “What?” I question loudly. “Hate!” He yells. “Some days it feels like you hate me!” I pause and pull at my fingers.

ALT TEXT: Ethel: Hi! It's Ethel! It's nice to talk to you finally! Andis: Hi Ethel; how are you? It's nice to talk to you too. E: I'm doing great! Thanks for asking. I wondered if I could ask you some questions? An interview of sorts😊 A: That'd be fine. I have work soon. Let's be quick. Ethel: Great! Okay okay! First question: what would you say are your strengths and weaknesses? Andis: Lol. My strengths are physical. Buuut, I'd say my greatest strength is the ability to care for those I meet. As for weakness: my anxiety. E: That’s a great answer! Next question: how do you think you handle criticism? A: I like to think I take criticism well. Depends on who it comes from. E: I see. A couple more questions, I know you're busy. How would you describe your childhood? Andis: My childhood... It was okay. To say the least. As I grew I came into my strength and skills. I was made to learn how to take care of the Alpha's son. Learn how to be a wolf. You could say I was made to be his friend, but we genuinely had a connection. Ethel: Very interesting. Where did you learn most of those skills. A: My parents. If they weren't busy with Beta stuff they'd teach me how to fight. Etc. E: Gotcha. Last question: what did hou want to be when you were growing up? Andis: Hm. I'm not sure. I always had a function growing up; take care of the Alpha's son. But now that's a bit up in the air. I don't have a primary function anymore. I guess I'll just live. Ethel: That's profound. I hope you can find what you are looking for. A: Thank you. This was fun. I have work now.
