Hive moderation had this at 72% chance of AI. I’m really sick of all the AI. I know some ppl just don’t know. We should all just get into the habit of attribution. Say where/who you got the photo from if it isn’t yours! If you don’t know, say that too. 😥

Was definitely surprised by the drop. It’s got some bugs, but really changes up gameplay. Agree, let them cook!

A lot of people already hit the nail on the head - AI. Sad that an art account is posting AI-generated content that was most likely trained on actual artists’ content 🤦.

Looks to just be someone else’s art? Reverse image search had hits on several stock image websites. This one is a heavy crop of that original image. Attribution would just prevent any questions.

AI is pretty insidious. It’s just going to get better. I tend to think photos of real things matter - maybe I’m just overthinking it…

I live in WA state not far from Rainier, the Cascades, and the Olympics. Not saying that an image similar to this doesn’t exist in some form or other. That’s the whole point of AI generated imagery. It aggregates thousands of images and generates similar stuff based on text prompts.

Agreed, also when images/places as gorgeous as this exist, ppl are generally crazy enough to try to capture a photo of it more than once, in some fashion or other. I’d expect to see lots of photos like this on insta or some other social sharing platform.

My concern with this image is the lack of attribution. It should be attributed - someone hiked or flew a drone to get an image such as this. If it were an open-source image, it would be found via reverse image search. These issues (plus the AI detection data and account history) make me suspicious.

lol, no. I am a photographer and hiker and all this unattributed and AI generated imagery on BlueSky is very frustrating, especially when you see lots of other folks thinking it’s real and asking where the photos were taken.

Ha! I have to admit that AI image generation has gotten really good and will only get better. I guess BlueSky has made me more and more distrustful of AI image generation. Hope that the devs can integrate AI detection tools to help us understand reality, especially when posters aren’t honest.

Another likely AI generated image… Cascades are gorgeous. Should be no reason to AI generate this content. A bit of honesty from the poster would be appreciated.
