and for a work in progress check:

the initial image (image 1) was a draft in aseprite, which was then modified in krita using edge detection to an alpha layer and blending (image 2).

after that, i separated the sword shape from the body, animated in aseprite, and that's that :3

Monitor displayed with text on screen, with hands on keyboard: Year -777, Anwis This is considered the beginning of everything. Before this, there was only darkness. Engulfed in darkness was an element known as Anwis, equivelant to dark matter. The sight was similar to the ocean, covering everything in existence. There was no life, only this sea. Figure sitting on chair, with light coming from the monitor. cat figure can be seen, visibly distraught. Text: Year -666, Antwis A mutation occurred in one of the cells of Anwis, creating Antwis, equivalent to antimatter. However, Antwis was conscious, and initially could not move in Anwis. It attempted to attack the Anwis that surrounded it, and was able to devour it. In doing so, it left an empty space instead of darkness. Antwis was able to move around freely in this empty space. Figure rises, light now emitting and text becoming harder to read. Cat figure now nervous. Text: Year -600, Growth of Antwis Antwis continued to consume the darkness, but it kept growing, becoming larger than the empty space it created. It was forced to split itself, pushing portions of itself into the sea of darkness. These portions were the same his Antwis, but could not devour, as they were from its body. These were similar to stars. Cat figure throws a book angrily at the figure, saying: Just write a book, you fuck!
