To think once upon a time my coworkers at Amazon told me working under him was going to be teach me a lot during a reorg.

(The reorg wound up shifting him away and left me with a guy who immediately put me on a PIP coz he wanted free headcount)

I love watching craftworld studio sessions, they are the masters of making things that make me go "that looks like shit" then they zoom out and do like 3 brushstrokes and now it looks amazing

I switched my windows machine to Linux a year or two ago and have been pleasantly surprised to be able to use it as a gaming machine capable of playing *almost* anything I’ve tried. I’ve used Linux off and on for 30 years, though.

My mother complained once that my father in the 80s once was told he was being passed over for a promotion to hold the position for someone black. I asked if they had considered whether that person had lied, and she got quiet and replied “people didn’t lie like that back then”
