For his eyesight, he can only see a bright headache inducing white when the eye is uncovered. Covering it lessens the effects. In moments of hightened emotion the eye can tend to weep a white glowing substance not unlick what the WoL coughs up when being turned into a sin eater.

The events of Shadowbringers took a toll on his body in general but the major lasting effects are seen plain as day on his face. His eye which, since his injury, has always a light blue has since taken on a white glow with no visible pupil.

He could mostly still see out of it up until the events of Heavenward, where the extreme altitudes and the bright snowy areas caused intense eye strain. He lost most of his vision in that eye and although he could still see out of it, his vision was blurry and it would tend to ache if uncovered.

Also if you don't like the cash shop or can't afford it just don't buy from it. Pretty simple and a much stronger voice to corpos then just "stealing" the items from it. Also if you get fomo because someone else has cash shop items.... Touch grass.... It ain't that deep.

Do I think the big company is really that hurt by it? No. However a big company will notice a drop in money coming in from their cash cow and will take note. I don't think anyone wants XIV to be seen as unprofitable in SE's eyes because then the game' life lies in greedy corpo hands.

Obviously people are going to have comments on the cash shop remarks but there is a point to how expensive servers and the like are. Hell people donated like crazy to keeps Mares servers alive I can't imagine the price of XIVs servers.
