In the last decade AI progress has finally taken off and it has been accelerating ever since. I think the latest o1 released model is very close to AGI. On the Mensa IQ test it has achieved over 120 IQ! See:

Interested now in LRM (Large Reasoning Models) such as o1. Recently I tested reasoning in the free DeepSeek R1-lite-preview.
