They 100% knew what they were doing modeling him, they gave him a damn bakery. They also gave his mouth waaay more detail than is technically necessary, you see this for legit one frame in one animation, the stuff in the back is optional. Someone just REALLY liked giving him a detailed maw

Also his mouth is quite detailed for how little you see of it, they did not need to put all that in the back of his mouth. Some dev wanted to get eaten by Venom and dammit now I do too, would let the sexy symbiote vore me.

I gotta say, whoever was working on Venom in Marvel Rivals had a LOT of fun working on them and I am very grateful for that. I mean LOOK at this absolute hunk of a monster man. Has a very large body, big strong muscles, black gooey tentacles, claws, long tongue, all the good stuff.
