One of the replies was what I think was a scam account asking for you to DM your details so they can look at your problem. It was probably triggered by the words 'air' and 'france', in your post.

Well, an endemic intestinal worm that causes Coccidiosis is the most likely, with Gapeworm a distant second. The remaining bird needs a special medicated feed (that it probably should have had anyway), which is on order and should be here in a couple of days. Too late for the patient 😢

No, that's vet only, or breeders.
Never mind with the messages. She's a lot worse than even this morning, and about 3 hours before the appointment.
Just dropped about 2ml of very, very slightly salty water with a pinch of glucose in it down her beak, which she drank.
Currently sitting on my chest.

I tried egg yolk before and they wouldn't touch it, unfortunately.
By all means DM the whole thing if you want. I still suspect an infection of some sort as it's getting worse at an increasing rate. Probably antibiotics or nothing at this stage. It's under a brooder for warmth.

Wildlife tends to be treated as disposible. Some vets will no-charge, or at least expenses-only wildlife treatment, but I don't know what will happen here. The little chick is now flopped in the back of the cat basket unable to stand, and panting. That's a lot worse than yesterday.

I was one of those kids.
Our greenhouse had a thriving slow worm colony, there were grass snakes at the back of the garden and lots of lovely colourful snails, because I used to collect all that stuff and bring it home. Things haven't changed much. I'm still not allowed to bring things home. 🤣
