In this case, they sent me to this odd outpost when I was already in the terminal heading to a connecting flight. It wasn’t climbing stairs to an airplane; it was stairs up to some kind of container they were using as a quasi-terminal. “I was like “this can’t be right; I must have veered off.”

My CDG experience involved being directed outside to the tarmac and up a flight of steep stairs (dragging my luggage with me), being confronted with a locked door, pounding on it until someone opened it, and finding out I was in the right place.
