It’s almost like Rule 11 exists and contemplates the idea that some arguments, when made in court, are so meritless and frivolous—a word that doesn’t seem strong enough in this context—to justify sanctions. This isn’t the same thing as spamming a flier of an article to Scholastica.

It strikes me as more insidious. No longer does he—or his orbit—only claim he wasn’t responsible for the violence. The claim is that there was no violence at all. Certainly none to justify the prosecution of such “civic minded patriots.”
