This is another one I saw recently. They’re very brazen in their threats.

I’m convinced he writes his fetish scenes into movies and then gets women he wants into the roles so he can have the experience he wants with them under the guise of directing.

I honestly think it’s one of the best locations for story telling for that reason. One of my favorite teen series was The Midnighter Series by Scott Westerfeld. Takes place in small town Oklahoma and is delightful sci-fi/fantasy.

And possibly some discrimination though it may not be overt

I wish I could be surprised, but almost a decade ago I had a coworker that hated that a system we used had an “abort” button and she thought that was “inappropriate”. I was like

for sure! i'm in favor of space exploration and colonization but only for the betterment of humanity (and we have more pressing issues rn) but one has to realize it is also possible to use space for our benefit ;)
